How Numbero helped Shropshire ICS plan and deliver the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme

Objectives

The Covid-19 vaccination programme was set up as part of the government response to Covid-19 pandemic to increase the protection of the population and reduce hospital admissions which were at record levels.

The Programme SRO needed business intelligence and planning support to ensure the optimal number of sites (in the right location)and staff were in place to deliver the service, and to make sure the service was delivering in line with national expectation.

Challenges

The Programme needed to develop vaccination plan at pace with evolving requirements and protocols

High pressure environment with National Scrutiny

Need to vaccinate 90,000 people in 7 weeks (starting from zero). 0.5m population total.

Planning needed to right size service and sites, and develop workforce plan
